Camillus Basement Has Inches of Storm
Damage. SERVPRO technicians got a call to handle storm damage in this Camillus basement. The first action the technicians did was to remove items from the loss area for inspection and restorative cleaning where possible. The depth of the water made submersible pumps the chief extraction equipment of the day as they easily remove water more than two inches deep. The concrete substrate is porous and absorbs water. The techs set up multiple air movers and dehumidification equipment to rapidly bring down the ambient humidity in the basement out of the substrate and masonry on the walls. After drying, the techs wiped down the loss area with antimicrobial and antibacterial cleaners to leave it sanitary and ready for any needed repairs.
